Tools Needed

  • Scissors or paper trimmer (new trimmers in stock Click Here)
  • Ruler
  • Printer (if using printouts)
  • Stamping block or Press to Impress
  • Die cutting machine

Instructions

1. Cutting the Sea Blue Linen Card:

  • Cut a square measuring 10.5 x 10.5 cm.
  • Cut a rectangle measuring 8.1 x 4.7 cm.

2. Cutting the White Linen Card:

  • Cut a square measuring 10.2 x 10.2 cm.
  • Cut a rectangle measuring 7.7 x 4.3 cm.

3. Stamping the Sentiment:

4. Preparing the Tartan Pattern:

  • Print your chosen tartan pattern on thicker card. Ensure your printer can handle the card’s thickness.
  • Cut the tartan pattern to measure 9 x 9 cm.

5. Cutting the Gingerbread:

  • Layer the gingerbread cutting die over your pastel gingerbread printout.
  • Run it through your die-cutting machine to cut out the gingerbread shapes.

6. Assembling the Card with Foam Pads:

  • Start with the 6 x 6 white card base.
  • Attach the Sea Blue square (10.5 x 10.5 cm) onto the centre of the card base using foam pads for a raised effect.
  • Layer and adhere the white square (10.2 x 10.2 cm) on top of the Sea Blue square.
  • Attach the tartan pattern (9 x 9 cm) centrally over the white square.
  • Position and attach the Sea Blue rectangle (8.1 x 4.7 cm) so that it is centred horizontally but positioned more towards the right side of the tartan square so it’s hanging off to one side using foam pads.
  • Place and adhere the stamped white rectangle (7.7 x 4.3 cm) onto the Sea Blue rectangle.

7. Adding the Gingerbread Cutouts:

  • Arrange the gingerbread die cuts on the card as desired. You can place them above the rectangles or on the tartan pattern using foam pads for added dimension.

8. Finishing Touches:

  • Use white opal liquid pearls to add decorative dots or accents around the card. Add them to the gingerbread cutouts for extra detail if desired.
  • Allow the liquid pearls to dry completely before handling the card.

Additional Tips:

  • Experiment with different placements and layers for a unique design.
  • If you prefer, you can substitute different patterns or colours to match your theme.
  • You can also add additional embellishments such as ribbons or sequins for extra flair.

Enjoy making your card! The added dimension from the foam pads and the off-centre positioning will give it a professional and appealing look. The possibilities are endless with your creativity from Sam’s Gingerbreads.
