Card of the Week – Birds on a Line🌼

This weeks card of the week is made using PCD301 Birds on a line (this set comes with an embossing folder which can be used on its own or you can stamp onto the flat side with the flower stamp and run through your machine – this will give you a raised bird image and flat flowers)

Prepare the Card Base:

  • Fold a piece of black card in half to create your card blank.

Create the Layered Mounts:

  • Take a 12cm stitched frame and a 13cm deckle edge frame. Layer them together and cut out in white.
  • Cut an 11.5cm deckle edge rectangle from black card.

Stamp and Emboss the Design:

  • Wipe the black rectangle with an anti-static bag.
  • Stamp the flower design onto the black rectangle using a clear embossing pad.
  • Heat emboss the design with jasmine embossing powder.

Create the Raised Element:

  • Stamp the top part of the flower design again onto a scrap piece of black card.
  • Cut this section out using a 7cm hexagon die (or another shape die of your choice).
  • Use a white Posca pen to edge the hexagon.
  • Line up the hexagon over the main stamped image and mount it with foam tape.

Add Glitter and Details:

  • Use the white glitter pen from the Festive Glitter Brush Set to colour in the flowers for a shimmering effect.
  • Lightly tap the Posca pen over the stamped image to create a dotty effect.

Assemble the Card:

  • Layer the black mount onto the white mount using foam tape.
  • Adhere the white mount onto the black card blank.

Add a Greeting:

  • Cut out a greeting in black.
  • Mount it onto a white shadow layer.
  • Attach the greeting to the card using foam tape.

And that’s it—your card is complete! 🎨✨
