Card of the week 558
Card of the Week: Elegant Lace Butterfly
This week’s card features the stunning Jamie Rodgers Lace Butterfly Cutting Die, creating a delicate and intricate focal point.
Cut the third largest scalloped square die in pink waterfall and adhere to your card blank
Cut the fourth largest scalloped and fourth largest pierced die together in white and mount this onto your pink with foam pads
Cut an A5 piece of card and adhere the double sided sticky sheet to it – cut the outline butterfly die in this
Cut the filigree butterfly die in white
Peel the top of the double sided sticky sheet halfway across the solid butterfly and start on the body to layer the filigree on one side; repeat for the other wing. By doing one wing at a time it will be easier to get the filigree overlay on straight
Using your finger rub glitter through the filigree to colour the butterfly
Wind some wire round a pencil to create curly antennae and adhere to the back of the butterfly
Attach the butterfly to the card blank with foam pads
Stamp a greeting in the hawthorn and cut round the banner shape
Take a scrap of left over card with double sided sticky on and rub some glitters over it; adhere the greeting to this and add to your card with foam pads
Finish with a few gems on the butterfly
